Get ready to go with the flow again! The ethereal beauty of MoonMana’s puzzle game is back in Waterfalls 3: Level Pack. This expansion pack has everything we loved about the original: psychedelic visuals, physics-based gameplay, experimentation, and that trancey soprano background vocals.
As in the original, most of the mechanics are not written down. Since the difficulty of the level pack almost starts where the original left off, new players may want to start with the previous installment to get their bearings. In general, however, the goal of each level is to guide the different shimmering colors into the designated receptacles (usually indicated by shapes swirling in energy). Do this by using your mouse to place objects that affect the flow, including gravity directions, bouncing barriers, and the obligatory portals. Don’t forget to use walls! The tanks will take a little time to fill with energy, and a mark will be displayed when they are full. Filled tanks will take a little time to drain, so players have a little freedom to move objects around if multiple tanks need to be filled in a level. It’s a very zen experience, and these 25 levels are perfect for those who want to relax a bit (although those links at the bottom of the game screen are placed a bit awkwardly). All in all, with all due respect to T-Boz, Left-Eye and Chilli, this is one waterfall pack you should get behind as soon as possible.
